I was recently invited to join the Mijello Experience Team to test their new Tourmaline Two-Tone Granulating Watercolors — and what a joy it’s been.
As someone who loves to experiment with color and doesn’t stick to a fixed palette (just a limited one for each painting), it was a real pleasure to test these paints and compare them with other granulating series I’ve tried from different brands. Most of the Tourmaline colors separate and granulate beautifully. Some colors have already become regular guests in my paintings, and a few of the mixes are so rich and surprising, I can’t stop reaching for them.
I’m sharing some of my experiments and finished pieces below, so you can see the unique character of these paints for yourself.
