There is something about the dacha that makes ordinary moments feel worth drawing.
A cup of tea. The garden. An old fashioned player. Light falling across a table. A few flowers.
These are the moments I often want to keep in my sketchbook.
Visiting our dacha and sketching at the dacha is a way of slowing down and paying attention. The days seem to unfold differently there, and even a small moment can stay with me for a long time.
A few dacha memories, collected in sketches.
